Yes Finally they got this right. My favorite new change is Topic no 5 5. People can drive through Yosemite without a reservation Last year, only some area residents who needed to pass through the park to a destination on the other side were supposed to be allowed to drive through Yosemite without a day-use reservation. This year, reservations won't be needed to drive through Yosemite, butby MY HAPPY PLACE - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

My apologies to DavidSenesac who started a very respectable post that I too share the same thoughts with. Quotechulavista First world problems. Just imagine the fees if the NPS and Forest Service weren't heavily subsidized. Please dont get me wrong, I am not objecting to the fee amount or the fee in general. I am just saying that if you sell something to someone for x amount of dollars, like a year pass in this case, then that person should be able to get into the park for the year. Its all about the money. I have my reservation for Sep 26 so I can drive thru to camp in Mammoth. Another 2 dollars for the NEW PRIVILEGE to use the park that I had already paid for when I purchased a Year pass that WAS sold to me as an entrance fee to all the national parks in the US. Regarding the reservations to get into the park. Does anyone know if there is any exceptions if your driving through Tioga Pass to get to Mono lake or other places on the Eastern side. Do I still need to make a Reservation? I heard and I am trying to confirm if they give you a Drive through pass, that allows just you a few hours to drive through the park. Then you will have to have a meeting called the Rehabilitation project to figure out how to deal with the human footprint. Then you will build more or expand. If you build it they will come. Thanks for the link, and the input. Thats going to be a big cleanup job. Looks like 120 for me for a while.
