Thought it was excellent. Not Ken Burns but excellent. It gave his life story from childhood until his death. I enjoyed getting his full life story since I haven't done any reading about Muir. I plan on finding a good book about him now. Learning about his adventures was a lot of fun. Wow... 1000 mile walk from Minnesota to the gulf. Looking on topo and Google Earth that looks like the only way to HIKE down. Makes sense that it would be late in summer before attempting that. I've swam in the pool above Yosemite Falls when I was younger. Don't like that idea any more. So Spiresby Max - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Anyone hiked from Glacier Point road to the top of Bridalveil Falls? We are very interested in making that trip this summer and looking for first hand information on route. On topo it looks like it's easiest to cut off Dewey/McGurk trail when you get to top of Bridalveil Creek. Any thoughts?by Max - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Thanks to those of you who have given information about the falls and it's amazing show. It's exciting to see something so beautiful in such a beautiful place. It seems that people seeing the falls in all it's glory, in person, is a good thing. I know the crowds can take away from the moment but... Anyway my son and I are going to be able to be there this weekend to hopefully watch in awe. I founby Max - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

I've wanted to see the Horsetail firefall for years. It's time to see it in person after years of only seeing pictures. My 14 year old son told me while we were in Yosemite a couple of weeks ago that he wanted to see it no matter what it takes. We know what it takes to see the firefall and this forum is a great place for us to get some help. Anyone in Yosemite in the next month or so that has infby Max - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.
