I have called before to check, but I would recommend just showing up if you are already there. It is not as popular or in demand as first come first serve campsites because not that many people know about it.by lizzy79 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
We are planning a trip back in June but wasn't prepared to get the permits. Maybe we can try for the wilderness permits if there aren't any cancellations.by lizzy79 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Swing by the market in Yosemite; there is food there too, probably much better, or Curry Village.by lizzy79 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
We had brunch there recently, pricey but great. All the food was fresh and very local. I recommend going there once again for the memories. Great lunch and spectacular views! The dining room isn't as grand as Grand Canyon's North Rim, but it has its own delights with Native American decor.by lizzy79 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
The price was worth it to me. Last weekend, we took the train to Merced and a shuttle to the Ahwahnee for a weekend stay. It turned out to be a bit longer than we expected. The hotel was lovely, with comfortable couches by huge roaring fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on magnificent scenery, and of course, the excellent restaurant. We were given a lovely corner balcony room oveby lizzy79 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
