I'm not sure there are many trails. I see people bike mostly on the roads. Often, bike's are prohibited to go pass certain points when you get to the hiking trails.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
There are programs throughout the year. Just keep an eye out for the website; there is a calender in there somehwere too.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Ha, I've seen families struggle to get into sites before. It's kinda like watching people parallel park almost; I find it a bit amusing. Anyhow, they always eventually do get into their sites.... I guess they have to make it fit once they get there.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
It's kinda funny. It seems like a lot because of the storm, but in reality, for April 1, it same as last year.Unless I am reading something wrong.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Yeah, I have a 20 and a 0. Usually I bring the 20 unless the forecast tells me otherwise.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Do you have a folder with all your photos eeek? :-)by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I like this part of the hike. It is funny because some people actually come very well prepared... either rain coats and if not, trash bags.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I wasn't aware of this route. With the wet season we have been having, it will probably be delayed like last year.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
If you don't have time, you can also try looking at the pictures of the campsites. There are a few linked on the bottom of the forums and if you google, there are a few other sites that have more images, I just don't remember. You may be able to estimate from there. If you have a trailer, you could also detach and park perpendicular or in day-time parking.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Thanks. I'll plan for July then.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Yeah, I looked into a few days ago and couldn't find any other either for the valley. There are some pretty nice group sites outside of the valley though like in Tuolumne Meadows, but it requires really large groups.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Stay in Yosemite, Clickon's Bridalveil's Fall hike to the top seem strenuous to me, but I am not that great of a hiker. http://yosemitenews.info/forum/read.php?3,33074,33255#msg-33255by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

We have eaten here probably 15-20 times, between brunches, lunches, breakfasts and dinners and have always had excellent food, excellent service, and excellent views. The Sunday brunch is something to do...it is the best brunch I've ever had, but it runs around $50 per person so be prepared for that.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Yeah, plenty of "things to do" other than Half Dome. Often, hikers who did not cancel would give the ranger extra permits to give away at the bottom of the cables. So, if you want to gamble, you can hike to the entrance... but its probably a bad gamble. http://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/things2do.htmby GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Are there other group sites in the valley besides these? I didn't even know they existed. Might be easier to secure than two separate sites.by GreatRafter - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
