OK, great. Thanks for the feedback. Now here's a test. I selected the icon for adding a photo, entered the link, and clicked on OK. Hopefully it works...although in preview I do not see it ;-) Steveby calberry - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
How do I go about inserting a picture in a thread? When I select the icon to add a picture it asks for a URL. Do all pictures need to come from an internet site, or can they be attached directly from a file on my laptop. Thx Steveby calberry - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Does anyone have the current status of this project, or is there a web site for tracking progress? I will be heading up a week from today and was just curious as to the situation will be like when we arrive (5th wheel trailer camping in Lower Pines). QuotePineCone Quotecalberry in fact, it is the exact same site I was in last week. When the booking window opened for Spring Break I had multiple tabs open and refreshed as fast as I could, and for next week I still had to 'settle' for a site that I categorize as "Would I rather stay home, or stay in this site?" At the same time I was trying to book a site for this past week (different grandkids off on two different weeks), and snagged one of my favorites ;-) (So Iby calberry - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. We left the park via Arch Rock yesterday, Mar. 28. We pulled out of Upper Pines at 11:05am, and when we got to the entrance my guess is the line was at least 1/2 mile long of cars/trucks/buses/RVs coming in. The line just kept going and going. My grandson kept taking picture after picture of the backup. And there was a ranger working the line (I have seen that in the past on busy days), but tby calberry - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. So alas there was no snow...but we go back again in 2 days (Mon. the 28th, Son's grandkids this week, Daughter's next week) and the forecast looks like snow is much more likely then. Steveby calberry - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Actually we'll be coming up 140 tomorrow, so no worries about snow. But it was the early Tues. forecast that I was looking at that showed the potential for snow...and that was a GOOD thing? Thanks. The forecast I'm looking at shows possible snow from like 2-6am Tues. morning. I remember back in 2010 going to sleep with the very pleasant sound of rain on the trailer roof but waking up at zero-dark-thirty to an almost eerie silence...yup, snow ;-) Steveby calberry - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. The grandkids and I are all packed and set to head out at 6am tomorrow for 4 nights in Upper Pines. Here are a couple of shots from from Mar. 31, 2010 in Lower Pines with the grandkids. LOL, perfect! I don't remember the first time I ate at the Ahwahnee (prob. '62-'63), but my wife and I ate there together the first time on our honeymoon in 1969...and have many times since. Just an FYI, I made a dinner reservation at the Ahwahnee for my birthday in May before 'the dispute' ever came about. I just went into the Open Table confirmation site (just to be safe) and see that I do still have a reservation, but the name has now changed to The Majestic. Annually I take the Grand-kids to Lower Pines for 4 nights during their Spring Break, usually Sun-Thur. I have my calendar marked for Thur. Nov. 15, as that is when the reservation window opens for Mar14-Apr15.
