i don't expect you to know a perfect guess, but what would be the chances of me getting a site this week (one car, one person). i only live 3 hrs away, so it wouldn't be the end of the world if i got there and not spots left. what i am worried about though is if there are no restrooms.by forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. i saw last night on the news that they were having a serious problem with human waste all around the place, did you notice any of that? so i'm guessing the restrooms are all closed????by forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
i'm surprised you have to get online this time of year to get a campsite, in years past i just drove up and got one real easy, few people there, has it changed THAT much?by forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

this was on FB, posted by Yosemite 2 hours ago. El Portal Road (Hwy 140 inside the park) is closed from the park boundary to its junction with Big Oak Flat Road due to small debris flows. No estimated time for reopening. Use Hwy 41 or 120 from the west to get into Yosemite. i have to say, so far i'm impressed and like the way they made a Roundabout near the grocery store area. i understand why they also made "curbs" along the improved roads so people can't pull over on the side, but not sure if i like the idea.. now if you want to take photos of the river, you have to park way the heck away and walk back... maybe its because i'm 61 yrs old now and havby forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. I'm turning 62 next July, and it's my understanding that I will only have to pay $20 for a life time pass, but my question is: Is this for Yosemite only? Or does it include all National Parks? Thank youby forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
