Some of my favorite memories of the park was during the summers I worked at the Raft Rentals. I lived in a tent cabin next to the Raft Rentals. Watching my tent light up and hearing the thunder echo up and down the valley will be something I'll never forget. I just wish I had a car so that I could have taken some better lightning shots.

Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion How cool would that be to see? The Geography Major in me would totally geek out at this presentation. Seeing the Nature Notes episode that Steve made on rockfalls is also fun to watch.

Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion Looking at the 2nd and 3rd big picutres it looks like the roadbed was taken out. It will be interesting to see once they clear off what's left of the roadbed. Hopefully the slide didn't cut too far into the valley bound lane.

Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion I once walked upon a baby bear trash can diving in Huff House employee housing. Was going to the bathrooms at about 2 in the morning and almost walked upon it. Only thing that kept me from running into the bear was some people who were sitting outside at the tables.

Photography advice, critiques and tutorials Cool map. I really wish I could get a gig working for the NPS doing thier mapping. Spent two years working in the valley during my JC years. Now that I have my GIS degree I would kill to work on stuff like that.
