Yesterday, I had business in the area of Twainheart(sp) so I took a little side trip to a place called Mount Elizabeth (located off of 108 where it splits from 120 on the way to you-know-where) I was testing to see how ready I was to do some backpacking, so I put on a daypack with 25lbs of stuff and started out....and found out that there is very little relation to running and packing. On my way to the top, I saw this view:

After draggin my sorry self around the top of the summit and around a stand of trees, I was then surprised to see a drive-movie screen set up just for me. I grabbed some popcorn and settled in for the show.....B)

Damn!

Wait, I meant to say it's a screen for watch submarine races. Yeah, that was it!

I saw one of those babies right near Eagle Peak too.
(the Eagle Peak just east of Foresta)

Actually there was a baby one almost on top of Eagle Peak and then a large drive-in screen
like yours up a little higher... (north).

I didn't stay for the show tho. I think Heidi was set to play after sunset ...

Since I'm all for going off the topic of the post. Saw this also on the road/trail to Eagle Peak.

I think it's a humanoid hand of some sort.

TOO COOL...catamount? If there were enough variation, I think that a "tracks that I have seen" thread would be neat to share.

I might start poking around the bottom of the property that I stay at on the weekends and find some big kitty tracks (sans the kitty)

I didn't see any women around at all?
Were they hiding in your tent?

I think it is:
Felis Concolor (Mountain Lion)
and not:
Felis Rufus (Bobcat)

Or maybe it was:
