YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - California's drought seems like fiction up here with thundering Yosemite Falls leaving lines of gawkers soaked and shivering. The 2,425-foot trio of waterfalls - the tallest in North America - can easily be seen a mile away, but visitors can't resist getting up close to that blast of icy water.

I don't remember it getting very wet at all. Perhaps a bit of mist in the Columbia Point area is all.

You'll probably get pretty wet .... from sweating....

It's nothing like the Mist Trail... the trail is pretty far away from the water course.
After Columbia Rock you drop down and around with some spectacular views...
Even if you decide not to go all the way to the top at least go past Columbia Rock
to where the trail heads due north and flattens out for some distance...
