Sweet!!

Ok, now a question for lo the many experts here. I'm planning on hiking up the 4MT then around the Panorama trail to the JMT and back down to the valley. Can I expect snow coverage anywhere else along the trail? Seems like the Pan trail is relatively free of trees for long stretches, so I'd hope it would be mostly clear...right???

I don't think you'll actually encounter any snow at all.
Get a good picture of Illiouette Falls from the "lookout" please...

As you are hiking down to the bridge it is pretty much right after you turn south on
the really long switchback..
(that switchback is even shown on the park map you get on entry into the park)

Some friends and I did this last week. We didn't run across snow of any consequence until we hit the 4 Mile Trail.

So it's along the trail, and not a hidden turn-off? I should be able to manage that...

The trail goes very close to the cliff edge right there...
"you can't miss it"

I could post a picture... but I'll let you see for yourself...
don't miss it... you'll be upset with yourself...
