It shouldn't matter how deep it is. You'll be able to walk on top of it now.
You might look on the bright side. If there is snow... there won't be any mosquitos.
I don't have first hand knowledge of the area since we haven't gone there this year..
so I can only conjecture...
- the snow really is melting slowly this year
- from Dana many lakes were still frozen over
- from Dana Evelyn had 80+% snow coverage around it
so... I wouldn't doubt that the lakes have some ice on them...
I'd just go expecting alot of snow around Tuolumne Peak ...
and then in the basin...
I'd expect the South Fork Cathedral to be flowing well... and butt cold
