the 2nd & 3rd weeks of February is the time to take photos of Horsetail Falls. once a year the waterfall appears to look like lava during sunset (Horsetail Falls is on El Capitan to the far upper right).

i haven't been up there for a few weeks, are the falls still flowing? you can't tell unless you have a pair of binoculars, but it's there usually.

just wondering of anyone has been up there lately?

i have my own photo of it that i took years ago, is there a way to post photos here?

I saw the Horsetail "firefall" in action on Presidents Day (2/19). It's been cloudy during sunset for most of February, so the days that the fall has been lit up have been relatively few.
