GRANTS PASS -- Everett Skinner says when a bear broke into his home, he grabbed his shotgun and killed it.
The animal ripped off a screen and climbed in through a window late Saturday, Skinner said. .......

That sounds a bit messy. Shooing the bear away would have been a lot easier on the cleanup.
