<HTML>A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT TROUGH THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA...FROM YOSEMITE TO KINGS CANYON...

A COLD PACIFIC WEATHER SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE AREA WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SNOW ACROSS THE SIERRA NEVADA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY THIS AFTERNOON. THE SNOW WILL TAPER TO SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS BY THIS EVENING.

GUSTY WEST WINDS OF 25 TO 40 MPH WILL ACCOMPANY THE STORM...RESULTING IN CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

PEOPLE PLANNING TRAVEL INTO THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR DELAYS OR ROAD CLOSURES.</HTML>

<HTML>Tioga's opening depends a lot on the amount of snow they have to plow and the avalanch hazards. I would suspect an early opening this year unless we get a lot of late snow. I'll post info about the plowing when it starts.</HTML>
