For those who think hiking the West Coast Trail is a stroll on the beach, Parks Canada is posting video clips to provide advance warning of what hikers face on the challenging route.

Actually, the cast-iron frying pans can be useful in dealing with any gun nuts which may be encountered.
(OMG!!! Another weapon that they need to worry about defending against!)

You may want to practise with overnight hikes before attempting.
Just to make sure you can carry that cast-iron pan the distance.

Someone should market a Norman Clyde Signature Series frying pan. One would be less inclined to "lose" it halfway through the hike.
