A Dutch tourist's ambition to climb "Mt Doom" has ended in an overnight rescue from Mt Ngauruhoe in the central North Island.

This hike was doomed before they started. I hate when people use SAR like it is the concierge at the luxury hotel they are staying at. I hoped they tipped those rescuers.
