Accident on Yosemite Falls Trail

I was in Yosemite for the Labor Day weekend and watch what appeared to be a helicopter rescue around Yosemite Falls. A bus driver said it was a hiker, but did not hear anything else and nothing on the news or here. Anyone know more about it?

Yes, it was my son - Many injuries, thankful mostly fully recovered -
