Are the falls still flowing? Plan on going hiking Friday.

They were both flowing as of last Monday. I've only seen them twice (both at this time of year) but the flow was certainly not overwhelming!

Thanks for the picture. I was exepecting Merced to be much lower than that.

The picture isn't recent, but I suspect it reflects the current flow. The Merced is only running about eight cubic feet per second at Happy Isles right now.

Here's a picture of Nevada Falls which, while old, will give you an idea of how things are:

all the falls in the Valley are pretty much gone now, so i doubt the Mist Trail has much of a mist (if any).

I saw Nevada Falls (and Vernal Falls) up close Thursday of last week (9/13). They were both flowing low, but a little fuller than the above picture.
