Hello,

I´m editor in chief in the Revista Natureza (www.revistanatureza.com.br), a brazilian magazine about plants and gardens.

I would like to use your picture "Sarcodes sanguinea" in my article. Is it possible?

I love snow plant. When I first visited Yosemite in 2005, I remembered being told they were fairly uncommon. So, whenever I saw one, I'd take a picture. A couple of years ago, when I was hiking with a friend, and pointing them out, he said, "Those things? They're a dime a dozen!"

Since learning of them, I've "collected" different mycotrophic plants. One of my favorites was a collection of Pine Drops we stumbled across in Russian Gulch in July a couple of years ago. It was such a surprise to see them.

But I still get excited when I see a snow plant in the Sierras. So bright and vibrant!

This is one we found while watching bears in the Crane Flat Bear Viewing Area. Right by the side of the road, at the base of a sign post.
