Mono Supervisor Hap Hazard has stayed on top of AT&T officials to make sure the Tri-Valley area has cell phone service. Recent information looked hopeful but service remains a problem.

Mono Supervisor Hap Hazard

The name of the supervisor is: Hap Hazard?

Name given at birth, or did he change it from something more pedestrian?

(One wonders if perhaps he has a flyty [sic] management style.

So ATT doesn't work in the Owens Valley? I just switched from Verizon.

AT&T cellular service works in some parts, doesn't work in others. YMMV.

Verizon does appear to have better coverage in Owens Valley, though neither provides 100% coverage.

So depending where you live, work, shop, and socialize, one might be better than the other, though most of my friends who live around Bishop prefer the coverage of Verizon over AT&T.

I preferred the coverage of Verizon as well. But not the cost. I got my first smart phone with my recent switch to AT&T. I am on the 200mb plan at $15 a month and so far I have never gone over that. Verizon doesn't even offer that plan, it's $30 minimum. And they don't offer roll over minutes or unlimited mobile to mobile calls on any network. I have heard horror stories about AT&T 's customer service, but since I have been with them, they have bent over backwards to make me happy, and I have had to call upon their services a lot. (had to port my number, had to get a new sim card, had to return a refurb phone for a new one that was only $10 more at Costco) and they did all of it with a smile and a thank you sir for your business.
