Really? I just watched that video clip, and the first thing that came to my mind was that it was a thunderstorm (which it probably was).

OTOH, if he had gone to the USGS earthquake website, and there were tremors emanating from that exact location at that exact time, then I could understand him thinking that he was witnessing an eruption.
