being 2 1/2 hrs away, i used to think nothing of running up to Yosemite on a monthly basis, but at gas prices as they are, now i'm not so quick to do so.

I suspect a lot of people are feeling that way. Neither the park nor 395 felt very crowded.

The Tuolumne Gas Station is open 9-5 daily for cash customers for store and gas purchases. The pumps are also available 24 hours a day with credit card sales at the pumps.

After staying the weekend at Devils Postpile, topped off in Mammoth
because I knew on the way back to Reno I would be taking a side trip to
Leavitt (wonderful!!!!).

Leavitt soothed the gasoline burn leading up to the junction of 395 and 108.

I put these photos on one web page on my site.

I didn't bother to stop at this June Lake service station,
however I did wander over to June Lake for a panorama
(to be posted later and somewhere else):

That Chevron in Lee Vining is always high.

According to CaliforniaGasPrices.com the Chevron in Lee Vining raised its price to $5.29 today and is the highest priced in the state.
