Why did the chicken cross the road?

Issac Newton: Chickens at rest tend to stay at rest, chickens in motion tend to cross roads.

Hi Chik-on,

What kind of tent do you use?
How much does it weight?

Yury,
The kind of tent I use varies by the time of the year, weather patterns, bug patterns,
and company/or lack thereof. Mostly I sleep w/o a tent though, greatly preferring
to sleep under the stars. If there is a good chance of rain or snow then there's
a good chance I'll bring a tent. Favorite rig is MSR eWing and MLD Superlight Bivy.
If small chance of weather... MLD Alpine Bivy. Most of the time the tarp (eWing)
never gets used. For tent I mod'ed a single wall Eureka Zeus. It's about 3 1/4 pounds.
The Bivy and tarps stuff is less than 2 pounds. I have a lot of gear.... if you poke
around my albums you'll see stuff. I try to mix it up and use it. I'm a big fan of
Eureka tents. The first 2 person tent I bought I've used for over 10 years... and it
still is pretty light and in great shape (it's been used easily 100 nights).

Last two trips:
Kuna Crest:

Old Insp. Pt. :

There's sooo much great gear out there.... if you ask 100 peeps... you gonna
get 105 different answers.
Have fun

Aristotle:
  • It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.
  • The other side of the road was its natural place.
  • To actualize its potential.
