The ninth is maybe the greatest piece of music ever performed. My favorite version is by Bernard Haitink and the London Symphony Orchestra, mainly for the strength of the baritone vocals in the fourth movement.
Furtwangler's Beyreuth performance is another great recording, better in every way other than the baritone.
