It's a catamount, a combination of a cougar and a bobcat! We have them all over the place in western North Carolina.

Unlikely, since January through March is the traditional hibernation season for both the Road Crack Seal and the High Sierra Otter.

It looks to me like Vince's truck has been up there digging again.
