SFGate: Rare sighting of wolf adults, 5 pups in Northern California

"The wolves — dubbed the Shasta Pack — were detected in southeastern Siskiyou County. The pups appeared to be just about 4 months old, officials of the state Department of Fish and Wildlife said."

Pretty cool.

Oh boy. As much discussion as there is about bears wait until the first wolf kills some sheep or cow...

Wolves just seem to be much more problematic than bears.

Not very much livestock in that area of the state where the wolves are. Lots of deer for them to eat though.
