In September, I accidently found my way into Yosemite Cemetery. I couldn't
help but wonder about some of the "locals". Who were they? What does one
have to do to be buried in a National Park? What famous deeds did these people
do, etc.
Here is a site that will provide some info to the above questions:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=1965581&CScn=yosemite&CScntry=4&CSst=6&
Some info is provided about those buried here, including the cause of death of
Half Dome conqueror, George Anderson, at age 40.
The site also provides info about graves of the famous and not so famous around the world.
For the morbidly curious, this is hours of fun.
