The Ahwahnee will be relaxing the dress code in the Dining Room during the summer months for dinner, from Memorial Day until Labor Day due to the amount of casual guests in the park during this time of year. The following dress code for dinner will be as follows: no athletic wear, no shorts, and no t- shirts; collared shirts preferred. If you have any questions concerning this, please don't hesitate to call The Ahwahnee Dining Room 372-1489.

So, you don't look good in a dress?
Believe me, food is much more palatable when people are dressed.

As far as I recall they've always said "resort casual" and spelled that out as men with collared shirts and long pants and no open-toed footwear. I thought in the past that also meant no jeans but khakis were OK. It always sounded like polo shirts were fine.

I'm thinking of making reservations. You might just see me wearing an aloha shirt with hiking pants there this summer.

Excellent -- I can save a few ounces by taking the high heels out of the back pack!

You mean you don't want to use them on the Mist Trail?
