WildLink Announces Annual Family Weekend
WildLink, a cooperative program between the Yosemite Institute, the National Park Service, and the United States Forest Service, will hold their annual Family Weekend from November 4 through November 6, 2005 at Yosemite Institute's Crane Flat campus in Yosemite National Park.
The goal of the WildLink program is to bridge the rapidly widening gap between traditional wilderness users and the growing cultural diversity of the state of California. WildLink provides academic and research focused backcountry trips and ambassador programs to over 700 underserved Californians per year. The majority of WildLink participants are from the Central Valley.
Participants in the Family Weekend, all of whom are WildLink alumni, will be provided with an all-expense paid trip for themselves and their families, including lodging, meals, transportation to and from the park, and guided Yosemite explorations. A total of 50 people are expected to attend.
