Campfire alternative???

We were stunned to see this particular RV in a Page, Arizona Campground, overlooking the red sandstone and sky blue waters of Lake Powell. Yes, this is a camper who has rigged a video projector to his RV so that he and his kids can watch movies instead of look at the stars. Which makes you wonder why they don't just stay home and do the same thing.

Amazing.

Nothing new just different technology. One time in the early 1990's, we were camping in Upper Pines and the campers next to us had a generator running a full sized TV and a VCR so they could watch movies. It was positioned so that we could not enjoy ourselves. They were also loud, the parents drunk and the kids screaming most of the time. It was not one of our better camping experiences.

That is their home?

They looked at stars all last night?

The kids wanted different entertainment other than
Brave Sir Robin playing his Euk-i-la-lee ?

I love to look at the stars just like so many others.
But I can't do it all night... night after night.
So we like to watch TV too. It's fun.

Have fun

oops: edit: yeah, sorry, if they were annoying others... not cool...
pretty much: if others not in your group can hear... use headphones...
smiling smiley
and, yikes... night vision gone with that pro-jec-tor!
