Yosemite National Park Spokesperson Scott Gediman was Wednesday's KVML "Newsmaker of the Day". Tuolumne Meadows Campground and other campgrounds along the corridor will remain closed this weekend.

How would you expect the crowds to be the weekend AFTER Memorial Day weekend? Will there still be carry-over visitors, or should it be not as hectic?

It'll be elevated but shouldn't be too bad. Having Tioga open helps a lot.

Campgrounds, Schmampgrounds -- The whole park (except the valley) is my campground wink

There is a definite advantage to backpacking.
