Here's one for Vince (even though I'm sure he secretly loves the Chick-on and opened the thread):

Chick-on has a "summit twinkie" -- which summit did he just do? Or was he getting read to do a summit?

did you have the lake all to yourselves?

He was up Volunteer earlier in the day (different thread) but here's another pict with Benson.
It was his post-summit relaxation Twinkie.

Here's the trip we did since it was buried in another goofy thread (Creature Feature) when asked:
(saw 2 people total in Yosemite) (1 at Benson) (saw no one at 13 of the lakes below)

Home->Twin Lakes(Bridgeport)->Barney Lake->Robinson Lakes->Crown Lake->Snow Lake
Snow Lake->Rock Island Lake->Suicide Ridge->Slide Canyon->Doe Lake->Tallulah Lake
Tallulah Lake->Sister Lake->Surprise Lake->Smedberg Lake->Rodgers Lake
Rodgers Lake->Murdock Lake->Benson Lake
Benson Lake->Arndt Lake
Arndt Lake->Peeler Lake->Barney Lake->Twin Lakes->Home

xcountry stuff was from Snow to Smedberg and from Arndt to Peeler.

You can looky here if you want. You'll need to zoom in probably though...

I'm taking from this that people are not too interested in places in the backcountry > 50ft. from their "car".

Fair enough.

Why would you think that?

I'm still trying to figure out whether this is Chick-on's Godzilla imitation or if he is horrified because he is thinking that he sees the Bronco coming down the trail.

The Bronco is dead. I would be more concerned with the Lake Benson high tide coming in.
