Interesting organization, Berryman Institute dealing with "Resolving Human-Wildlife Conflicts"
publishes a journal on the subject. Some articles of interest to Yosemite visitors dealing with Yosmite bears and consensus recommendations about conflicts with large animals.

The Berryman Institute is a national organization based in the Department of Wildland Resources at Utah State University and the Department of Wildlife & Fisheries at Mississippi State University. It is named after Jack H. Berryman to honor his distinguished career in wildlife management. The Berryman Institute is dedicated to improving human-wildlife relationships and resolving human-wildlife conflicts through teaching, research, and extension.

(and, No, the conflict resolution does not involve Oprah, Dr. Phil, or sitting around talking about our feelings)

The cure for a fallacious argument is a better argument, not the suppression of ideas.
