After a grueling process, California now has a state budget signed by the Governor, but questions on how the budget will affect local state parks remain.

21 bucks a night to camp? That's ridiculous. You get a sometimes flat, relatively bare spot to pitch a tent and a fire ring. I love how this insignificant, miniscule amount of savings to the state puts yet more burden on the taxpayer out to enjoy the wilderness. This governor is worse than Gray Davis.

$21.00... isn't that even more than a National Park???????

Managers will now be accountants and economists. Think they are going to be able to analyze revenue, supply and demand, and make adjustments as needed like the press release says? If you do, I have some land in Alaska I'd like to sell you.

Oh and plan on spending $40 or more for a campsite. That's for cold water, stuffed up toilets, and trash bins that are full to the brim and can't be used. Also, $12 parking fees in some areas.
