Just picked the latest edition of my favorite general travel book for Yellowstone:
Yellowstone Treasures by Janet Chapple

Whenever I go to Yellowstone I put together some literature, maps, books, files of things I want to check out, etc.
Regardless what other info I take, I always take this book.
Excellent and incomparable travel companion for "front country" travel in Yellowstone by someone who
has lived in and visited Yellowstone for more than 50 years. Very good roadside history, basic flora, day hiking trails and most
importantly geology (geology consultant is Janet Chapple's husband Bruno Giletti, retired professor of
geology)
The publisher is a small name and the book may not be available at all book sources. Consider buying
from the publisher directly at:

Earlier additions are available at deep discount and would likely serve a person just as well if not a
regular visitor to Yellowstone
