Feces sometimes fossilize, at which time they become known as "coprolites." In this photo, notice the row of shark-tooth impressions that curve across the fist-sized coprolite. The shape of the tooth impressions suggests they were made by an extinct tiger shark that bit into the soft feces before they fossilized.
