Fall Colors

It'll soon be time for the fall color show. I love the aspen along Lee Vining Creek:

North of Mono Lake along 395 can be good too:

I used to go to the Lake June Loop. Then I discovered Lee Vining Creek which is, I think, much better.

I have also tried the June Loop and agree that Lee Vining Creek is much better. If you have four wheel drive, Laurel Canyon next to Mammoth is great too:

Another photo from the Bishop Creek area:

I was driving to San Diego from Reno a couple years ago in October and a CHP was sitting by the side of the road where eeek's 2nd picture was taken near Conway Summit. People were hitting their brakes thinking the cop was doing radar checks but suddenly he popped out of his squad car and started taking pictures! Got a chuckle out of me.
