Southside Drive Road Closure

The closure of this segment has been delayed, with a start date of October 10, 2007 crews are planning to close Southside Drive between Pohono Bridge and Wawona Road (this schedule may change depending upon the progress with the new box culvert installation near Bridalveil Straight/Intersection Wawona Road). It is anticipated this road closure will remain in effect from October 10 thru November 30th.

Also, recently you may have noticed there has been onelane traffic control in this segment while crews install the construction and erosion control fencing. Traffic changes will be as followsouthside Drive between Pohono Bridge and Wawona Road will be closed; El Capitan Crossover, Northside Drive between El Capitan Crossover and Pohono Bridge, and Southside Drive between El Capitan Crossover and Wawona Road will become 2-way traffic.
