Looking for info on a 19th century Yosemite poet.

Was watching A Green Planet show this morning. Saw a segment on a Scottish poet who was instramental in helping preserve the park. It sounded like his name was Muher. He was active in the 1880s.

I didn't get any hits on this name searching Google.

Anybody know the name of this poet?

Thanks,
Nick
