Re: Has my home IP address been banned?

Hate to put it here, but I forgot eeek's email address (I saw it when I was denied posting privileges earlier). I tried posting from home over the weekend, but I suspect a block of IP addresses (I use Earthlink from the East Bay - SF Bay Area) has been banned for some assorted reason - perhaps some spammer was posting from my area. I know of one message board where in an attempt to ban one poster, the webmaster blocked out a long string of IP addresses that could have been use by dynamic IP addressing schemes.

From home I tried disconnecting from my provider and reconnected later with a newly assigned dynamic IP address. I still couldn't complete a post. It would give the message when I tried to preview.

It wasn't you IP address and you weren't the only one with the problem. You should be ok now.

OK then. It seemed a little bit strange.
