...BREEZY AND MUCH COOLER FOR THE END OF THE WEEK...

LOW PRESSURE ALOFT IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP NEAR THE WESTERN
CANADIAN COAST TONIGHT...THEN MOVE SOUTH INTO THE GREAT BASIN
BY FRIDAY. THIS WILL BRING AN INCREASINGLY STRONG WEST TO
NORTHWEST FLOW ACROSS CENTRAL CALIFORNIA.

TWO DISTINCT CHANGES WILL LIKELY OCCUR WITH THIS SYSTEM. THE
FIRST WILL BE THE ARRIVAL OF BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS ON
THURSDAY...INCLUDING THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN SAN JOAQUIN
VALLEY...THE TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS...AND THE KERN DESERTS. STRONG
WEST WINDS ARE ALSO LIKELY ALONG THE SIERRA CREST ON THURSDAY.
THE SECOND CHANGE WILL BE THE ARRIVAL OF A MODIFIED CANADIAN
AIRMASS ON FRIDAY...WHICH WILL BRING MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES.

ON SATURDAY...WINDS WILL BE DIMINISHING MOST AREAS AS AN OFFSHORE
FLOW DEVELOPS. HOWEVER IT WILL REMAIN ON THE COOL SIDE WITH
TEMPERATURES WELL BELOW NORMAL.

NO PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM...EXCEPT POSSIBLY A
FEW LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS OVER HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE SOUTHERN
SIERRA FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
