Yosemite National Park Invites Public To Open House
The National Park Service welcomes those who are interested to attend an Open House in Yosemite Valley on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Visitor Center Auditorium.
The public is invited to the open house to:
Access the latest news on various park projects
Listen to presentations given throughout the day
Provide feedback on proposed projects and ongoing implementation efforts
Review design concepts and drawings related to various projects
Projects that will be represented at the open house are:
Replacement of flood-damaged buildings in El Portal
Repair work on the Foresta Road in El Portal
Utility improvement projects ongoing in Yosemite Valley
Olmsted Point Rehabilitation and Restoration
Rehabilitation, Restoration, and Resurfacing of the Glacier Point Road
Rehabilitation of the Valley Loop Road
Curry Village Employee Housing
Available for review and discussion will be the geothermal well drilling completed for the new dorms, the National Park Service's involvement with Hurricane Katrina relief, the 100% design drawings for the Visitor Center Exhibit Hall project, current fire information, and the new design guidelines for Yosemite Valley.
