Greetings from Alaska!

I am sorry to say it has been close to nine years since I have posted here! I miss you all and recently have rekindled my love for Yosemite hiking. I never lost it but a career change completely changed my life. Last year my son and I did a sunrise hike up Half Dome. And this year I struck out getting a Half Dome day permit but I did get a September backpacking permit out of Sunrise which will include Half Dome.

Good to hear--and good to hear from you! Now let's hear about Alaska...

Oh my goodness the adventures I have had....besides hiking and travel to places like Brooks Falls I probably could not have chosen a more "adventurous" new career...

There's a hiking group going up Half Dome this month before the cables go up. Let me know if you want their info.

Welcome to our state, but please keep your mosquitoes in your home state. Alaska has so much more space; they can roam everywhere. No reason to come to tiny California.
