Tioga Road may close soon due to the fire.

Brilliant. The view from the Turtleback webcam is delicious.

I have a good idea. Let's start a fire at the height of the fire season.
Still baffled as why this was needed anyway as they were munching the
crapola out of the area earlier this year with monster-size tree
mulchers. Dunno why they couldn't just pick up the shrubbery spit out too
and be done with it. Too much mulch left over?

But I'm just a caveman so most logical things escape me.

FYI: The Old Big Oak Flat Road Trail is closed. Hardly surprising...

I sure hope that they get this under control before the Labor Day weekend.

This must be REALLY bad if they close the road... I recall about 5 years ago
there were burning logs on the side of the road ... and road was still open.
It was the fire that burned around Yosemite Creek.
At least that is my recollection.
