But essentially one can open in adobe photoshop or similar and read the info- or you can use a perl excutable like Exiftool, or they may be even simpler ways to read it straight from your OS...

That is absolutely stunning! If I could stop putting my wife's digital camera right up my eyes, maybe I could begin to think of getting
a new camera for my self ( I keep banging the camera on my nose trying to find the viewfinder window my SLR has).
I had heard there was a lot of embedded detail in digital fotos, I thought it was just unused detail for enlarging the pics.
The mind is easily boggled.
