INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...SHAVER LAKE...YOSEMITE VALLEY

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 4 PM PST WEDNESDAY...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA FROM
YOSEMITE TO KINGS CANYON REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 4 PM PST WEDNESDAY.

* TIMING: A PACIFIC STORM WILL REACH THE AREA LATE THIS
EVENING...AND CONTINUE MUCH OF THE DAY WEDNESDAY. HEAVIEST
SNOWFALL WILL BE DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY.

* MAIN IMPACT: TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 12 TO 14 INCHES ARE
LIKELY ABOVE 6000 FEET BY WEDNESDAY EVENING. GUSTY WEST WINDS
OF 45 TO 55 MPH NEAR AND OVER THE CREST WILL CREATE OCCASIONAL
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* OTHER IMPACTS: TRAVEL ABOVE 6000 FEET MAY BE HAMPERED
ESPECIALLY IN AND NEAR YOSEMITE PARK...HUNTINGTON LAKE...AND
WISHON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.

We have had several drought years that started off very promising (like this year) only to have the rainfall end for the season sometime in February.
