THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
4 PM FRIDAY TO 10 PM PST SATURDAY FROM YOSEMITE TO THE KERN COUNTY
LINE. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT FROM YOSEMITE
TO THE KERN COUNTY LINE.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 2 TO 4 FEET OF NEW SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE
ABOVE 7000 FEET. 1 TO 3 FEET OF NEW SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM
5000 TO 7000 FEET.

* ELEVATION: SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT AROUND 6000 FEET FRIDAY
NIGHT...AND FALL TO AROUND 5000 FEET BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* TIMING: WIDESPREAD SNOW WILL BEGIN IN THE YOSEMITE PARK AREA BY
LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON...AND THEN SPREAD SOUTHWARD INTO TULARE
COUNTY BY FRIDAY NIGHT. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE HEAVY AT TIMES

SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA AND TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

SCATTERED RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE SOUTHERN
SIERRA NEVADA AND TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS TODAY...AS A PACIFIC STORM
SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. SNOW LEVELS WILL RANGE
