...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PDT
WEDNESDAY ABOVE 4000 FEET...

A WINTER STORM WARNING ABOVE 4000 FEET REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
6 PM PDT WEDNESDAY FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA FROM
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK TO KINGS CANYON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: ONE TO TWO FEET.

* ELEVATION: ABOVE 4000 FEET.

* TIMING: SNOW WILL CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING OVER
THE YOSEMITE PARK AREA SOUTHWARD TO THE KINGS CANYON AREA. A
SECOND WEATHER DISTURBANCE WILL ALLOW THE SNOW TO CONTINUE
THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: SHAVER LAKE...YOSEMITE VALLEY...HUNTINGTON
LAKE.

* WINDS: GENERALLY 15 TO 30 MPH IN VALLEYS AND SHELTERED
LOCATIONS BUT GUSTING TO AS HIGH AS 70 MPH OVER RIDGE LINES
NEAR THE CREST.

* IMPACTS: TRAVEL INTO THE SIERRA NEVADA WILL BECOME DIFFICULT
DUE TO SNOW AND ICE COVERED ROADS. HIGHWAYS 41...168 AND 180
AS WELL AS SECONDARY ROADS WILL BE AFFECTED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL
MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
