The update for the Mariposa Grove which stated that, the Mariposa Grove would be open to cars and light trucks on Friday May 14, 2010 has changed. Mariposa Grove will remain closed to vehicle traffic due to the safety concerns of pedestrian traffic vs vehicular traffic conflicts. There is not enough room to accommodate two way traffic and groups of pedestrian walking on the roadway at the same time. For the protection of our visitors and employees Mariposa Grove road will remain open to Administrative traffic only.
Shuttle busses will continue to South Entrance to allow for visitors to access Mariposa Grove by walking to the Grove from South Entrance parking area.
