Where To Service Our Pop-Up Trailer
June 21, 2010 01:12PM
We have been volunteering in Yosemite National Park since the beginning of May and will be completing our assignment the end of June. We came from Maryland and will be returning east in about 10 days.

We have heard it's necessary (after three to seven thousand miles) to do some servicing on our pop-up. We're not completely sure but it may have to do with greasing ball bearings and/or axles.

Any recommendations for RV repair shops in the vicinity would be greatly appreciated. We'll probably head east via California Rt. 120 (East) (Tioga Rd.) although we'll gladly exit toward Groveland and Sonora (California Rt. 120 (West).

Thank you,
Kathy and Elliot

Looking around the only thing I found on wheel bearing maintenance said they should be repacked every 12,000 miles.

Where are you volunteering in the park? Is your pop-up parked in one of the Yosemite Valley campgrounds?
If so, you might wish to go and speak with the service guys at the Yosemite Village Garage (which is located
across the road from the large rear parking lot of the Yosemite Village grocery store & gift shop).
I have seen a lot of RVs getting serviced in that Yosemite garage over the years, so perhaps they could answer
your questions for you...
